Why am i blogging?

I can't figure out why i am blogging. It is pretty much pointless.
If you are reading this leave me a comment.
Maybe its like a personal journal that everyone can read but nobody wants to. That's pretty boring.

I am failing several classes at school, partly because of ARC : attendence restoration classses. Basically detention.

I am trying to fix my camara, but in the meantime I am planning on just using my sister's.

Anyways, i am going to lunch.

My Car

So, i got my drivers license.

My family has had a old 1989 landcruiser that has been sitting in our driveway for 5 years. My dad said i could have it, all it needed was a fuel pump and a battery.
I got it towed. I had Foreign Aid fix it, and they did a good job.

I drove it home and decided to get some gas for the first time.
I slid my card and watched the dollars go up dramatically faster than the gallons, i began to laugh........ It hurts, yes, but is funny is a sick kind of way.

I spent 50 dollars. I my car makes more money per hour than i do.......... :)

Drivers Licence

Yesterday, I went down to the DMV (or DLD, I am not sure) and had one of the most terrible experiences. Don't get me wrong, i am glad i got my licence but, the system that i had to go through was very infective.

The process of me going in filling out a form that took 2 minuets, signing a paper, paying $30 and getting my picture taken took over two hours of waiting along with one hundred other people waiting. Why does it take two hours for a process that when attended to, took 10 minuets? Lack of staff and efficiency.

Now if i was at McDonald's, that would not have happened; In and out. When McDonald's beats our government system, that's a shame and a outrage. If eating at McDonald's i would not wait for my food for two hours, unless there was nowhere else to eat. That is the problem with the system.

It does not matter how fast or efficient the system is because there is no competition. It is a lack of "capitalism" within our government. This is close to the same at the post office. If a incentive could be offered to the workers or the office to be more productive. Money and time would be saved.

There where about 13 staff helping people at a given time.
There were 100 different people waiting, each for approximately 2 hours. Lets say they all earn a average of 10$ a hour. DO THE MATH. That's 2,000$ wasted. That's 1,000$ a hour. If we paid each worker 25$ a hour, together could have hired 40 additional Workers. That would boost productivity five times over. WHY is the current system in place.

I would have paid 10$ more to be out after 30 minuets.

This does not add up, there is no logic to why this system is in place. One reason that is is not changed is because, luckily we only have to go there every few years, on average. We should change the system.

In the next few weeks i will make another journey to hell, to get take my motorcycle endorsement learners test, then a short time later to get my motorcycle endorsement.

You can imagine how exited i am to go back. Don't yank my chain that day....

Addicted to china

In my work as a scooter mechanic, i routinely see many cheap Chinese scooters.
There is no end of the wonder that comes from the mechanics for why people buy these pieces of crap.
Well, everyone at my work thinks a lot about why people buy cheap.
I want to just say, that we are addicted to the idea of buying cheap.
We will have some severe problems if we were to go to war with china because of the fact that we cannot produce the goods we need to to keep the country afloat.
We have the mentality to buy the cheapest product available with no regard of the consequences.
How was it produced? Child labor and pollution?
Does buying from china weaken our economy and strengthen theirs?
It is something we all need to think about.

We all have many finantual obligations but we need to consider that the shortcuts we are taking will have long term consequences.
We need to be more of a nation that produces and less of a nation that consumes.

As a after thought, don't buy a chinese scooter, because they will fall apart.

Just think about who you are paying next time you buy from china.

New blog

I have a blog, wow.
